Best Xbox Game Pass games

I’VE HOLDEN ON TO MY XBOX GAME PASS ULTIMATE SUBSCRIPTION WHEN OTHER SERVICES Because there are over 100 games and new ones added often, the $15 monthly cost feels worth it. Over a year, that’s about three AAA games.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate includes EA Play and Xbox Live Gold. If you don’t want to play multiplayer games online, Microsoft has a $10 monthly plan for you. PC Game Pass ($10/month) offers several of the same titles. (Own a PS4 or Switch? See our list of the best gaming subscription services.)

GGT combed through the Game Pass catalog to find excellent titles we believe you’ll appreciate. Our genre-spanning recommendations for the finest Game Pass titles include something for everyone.

Tunic

Finji has previously published indie favorites including Fez and Chicory: A Colorful Tale. Conquer numerous aggressors while collecting pages from an illegible handbook. Tunic is a terrific game, but you may need to put down your controller and take a walk around the block to relax.

Halo: The Master Chief Edition

Relive the initial campaigns. Halo: The Master Chief Edition is a collection of six games dating back to Halo: Combat Evolved, the Xbox’s launch release. In Halo, the United Nations Space Command guards the skies and repels intergalactic attacks. The game was a cultural sensation in the early 2000s, and it still is.

Forza Horizon 5

MLB The Show 22

MLB The Show 21 debuted on Microsoft’s subscription service last year, ending the series’ PlayStation exclusivity. MLB The Show 22 is now available on Game Pass. This level allows you to gradually improve your pitching and hitting. March to October, control your favorite franchises. (Go Royals!) Enjoy the excitement of the ballpark with this fascinating baseball game.

It Takes Two

It Takes Two won Game of the Year at the 2021 Game Awards for its dynamic co-op gameplay and engaging story. Their daughter magically shrinks them into dolls and forces them to tackle obstacles together. This worthwhile game takes two individuals to play locally or online.

Microsoft Flight Simulator

This is the game for you if you ever wanted to fly a jet and soar beyond the clouds. Players can travel to real-world sites like New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport or Costa Rica’s Sirena Aerodrone. Specialized controllers are available for individuals wanting further immersion.

Mortal Kombat 11

Deathmatches in Mortal Kombat 11 are fun whether you play as old favorites (like Scorpion and Sub-Zero) or newcomers (like Geras and Kollector). It’s fun to kill your opponents with terrible fatalities, but you don’t have to know finishing moves to enjoy Mortal Kombat 11—button mashing is fine! Face-off with buddies and prepare to test your connections.

Dead Space

“I went out to build the scariest game ever,” Dead Space creator Glen Schofield told Ars Technica. You follow a worrisome message from your lover to a space mining operation, where you fight undead monsters and try to unearth terrible mysteries. Try the original version on Game Pass before Electronic Arts releases a remake next year.

EA Play for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

Peggle

Take a trip back to 2007 and enjoy Peggle’s pachinko-inspired charm. You aim a bouncing ball at the board, hoping to strike every peg. The bright puzzles and exuberant level-ending celebrations make for a surprising rewarding experience. Other retro puzzle games include Zuma and Bejeweled 3.
