Apex Legends Mobile will be accessible in more countries in the near future. Last year, the game was released in a closed beta that was only available in a few countries, but starting next week, it will be available as a free download in ten countries on iOS and Android.
According to a statement on Respawn’s website, Apex Legends Mobile will be available in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Mexico, Peru, Argentina, and Colombia. During the closed beta, the game was also available in India, but it’s not on the list for the limited regional launch, and we’ve reached out to EA / Respawn for an explanation.
Apex Legends Mobile will be available in more locations at a later date, according to Respawn. “Once we’ve made educated judgments based on the limited regional launch,” Respawn said, “we’ll share updates on global launch.” “Pre-registration is now open if you live in one of the participating test countries. We’re still testing the app all across the world, and we can’t wait for more people to participate in the fun when it launches!”
Check out the prerequisites on Respawn’s FAQ to determine if your phone is compatible. Because the game is “particularly for mobile,” you won’t be able to play it on a console or a computer.
Mobile versions of popular console or PC games have proven to be quite successful; according to Sensor Tower statistics, PUBG Mobile and Call of Duty: Mobile were two of the top App Store downloads in January. They can also be very profitable. According to data.ai (previously App Annie), Riot Games’ League of Legends: Wild Rift has produced more than $150 million in consumer spending, while Call of Duty: Mobile has topped an incredible $1.5 billion in player expenditure, according to Sensor Tower.
EA isn’t just betting big on mobile shooters with Apex Legends Mobile; the company is also working on a Battlefield mobile game, which is now in early playtests.
